What's wrong with protecting a private businesses rights?

If I am a freelancer, I am my own business...

Should I be able to choose who I would like to work for?
 
And it's a reality that some people don't like others and should be able to ask them to leave their property and not serve them.
 
throw in a few more appeals.....appeal to pity, appeal to fear, appeal to emotion, appeal to spite, appeal to ridicule......they're all fallacious, and they're all shitty arguments.
 
I don't think anyone deserves to be the target of racial or religious discrimination. It's not that people have an absolute right to be treated with respect by others, but rather that treating individuals disrespectfully because of one's prejudice is unjustified.

In the context of racist business practices, we could easily imagine people having to choose between a)leaving their home and community, or b)experiencing a greatly reduced quality of life, without having done anything to deserve having to make that choice.
 
That's why I'm glad this place has an IL. When the level of ignorance reaches max on a particular poster, just add and flush.
 
I'm a master at removing ingrown hairs using fingernail clippers.

Obviously the state is restricting my liberty by not allowing me to put "Doctor" before my name and hanging out a shingle to perform brain surgery.
 
I remember having the inverse of this problem once. Someone used the word in such a way that the 'obscure' definition made sense, and I assumed that they had meant it that way and used it correctly. It was about two pages of clusterfuck before I realized that the guy just couldn't spell.
 
So I should be able to do ANYTHING on my property thats legal? Having a party is legal right? Can I have my loud ass party on my private property until 4am, neighbors be damned? Or maybe I'd like to shoot my guns at 3am too, because, hell its my damn property and I do whatever I want. Fuck the neighbors. They're free to move out.
 
Yeah, just like how I force those Mormons who go door to door selling their religion to not come in my house. How evil and immoral of me to force something like that on them!
