i don't know if legal action can be taken for humiliation in a case like that but I wouldn't say theres no harm in discrimination.

No one is forcing you to run a business. Running a business is not a right. Running a business has certain laws you must abide by, including keeping your building up to code, being truthful to your customers, not discriminating against your customers, and paying your taxes on time.

funny how you single out the one that makes it okay to be racist.

Actually, I'm positing that using government force to solve an educational issue may not work as planned.

:fixed:

does the hospital take any govt funding?

nevermind. bobbarkerssoup is already handing you your ass

What's the difference?

Smoking pot is something you can choose to do that only hurts you.

Refusing to sell to someone based on their race/religion/etc only hurts you also because you lose business and probably the respect of the people who patronize your store.

Explain to me how it hurts the individual who can't shop there.

But what about the doctor's liberty bro? Why should the state tell him he can or cannot practice medicine?!?

fucking idiots

The profanity has increased. Looks like we struck a chord. If you can't argue against, the insults project.

What's the right amount of money? Do you want the government to decide that for you too?

What if I'm selling my car, and I say I want $10,000 dollars for it, and a black man has $10,000 in cash for it that very day? I'm trying to get rid of my car anyway, what sense would it make to refuse that guy's money?

This whole argument then isn't about business's rights so much as the right to inflict misery on others.

Your argument is silly though. There's a huge difference between a freedom and an entitlement, but your position rests entirely on these terms being synonyms.

If you start from the premise that nobody owes anybody anything by default, the logical conclusion is that it's categorically wrong to insist that someone give someone else anything. The fact that our someone here gets something in return is immaterial.

It's okay to say you don't, but you sure look retarded when you say "I believe in private business! But I also believe in forcing private business owners who to do business with!"

It's not legal to make loud noises throughout the night because those noises extend to other people's property - thus infringing on their property rights....so that part of your party/guns makes it not ok to do.
But if you wanted to have a quiet party until 4am and shoot off guns with silencers at 3am then you're more than welcome to.

I should also point out that as a reasonable businessman, he would have found a way to sell the guy the asthma inhaler. After all, he's a greedy capitalist swine.

So you are saying that public schools, 50 years later, are a place where blacks and whites sing "Kumbaya" and don't "self segregate" and have racial fights?
