community? Most races embrace education. It seems a black woman is label taboo if she is independent and have an education. And we are not necessarily talking about PhD or MD status, we are talking about just having a basic college degree. In addition, being independent can be something minute in terms of just simply saying that maybe she has a decent job to pay her bills. Isn't that what everyone should strive to have? In my opinion, this is not exceptional, it's just the basic necessities of life and these are things everyone should have. But it seems the black community does not embrace her and she is unaccomplished if she does not have a companion. I am impress with the disparity of how other races embraces higher learning but the black community generally does not, not unless you have a companion. And where did this start, are we implying that black women should be more dependent to get a decent man by her side? I don't by the career oriented theory, because as far as I know every woman wants love and a good relationship. And I also find it hard that ALL black women with graduate degrees are snobs and not dateable.
