What's the worst film of all time?

The Blair Witch Project!

IT JUST SUCKED BIG TIME! IT WAS LIKE WATCHING A WEIRD COMEDY!! YOU SHOULD HAVE HEARD PEOPLE COMPLAINING, ONE COUPLE EVN GOT A REFUND! Lol!

Unfortunately i didnt have the time to see the second one, i bet that was even better! LOL :)

ah come on - blair witch wasn't so bad.

as walking around creepy wooRAB actually is really creepy, the film did work.

if you go into it and get drawn into it, it was pretty scary - the ending was especially chilling IMO.

if on the other hand you just go in thinking *its just kiRAB in a wood - what scary about that?*, then you're not goin got enjoy it so much.

anyway, according to the Daily Mail, *8 Mile* is the worst film ever, for its disestablishment viewpoint, and drugs. apparently.

I'd pick AI

Absolutely unbelievable awful in every way. Hard to believe this is the same director who gave us Duel, Jaws, Close Encouters, ET, Raiders of the Lost Ark, Schindlers List and Saving Private Ryan. Sort it out Stephen.

And hard to believe that the late great Stanley Kubrik could have ever been anything other than horrified at what Spielberg did to the film he spent years trying to make.

I've probably managed to miss most of the obvious 'worst films'

Friday the 13th part twenty seven
Police academy - I can't believe were still making these films

type of thing

however the worst film I have seen is
- The last days of disco

Utter, mind deadining shite :(

Police Academy Mission to Moscow. Nuff said.

Special award to the Avengers - crap even though (some of them) tried so hard - Uma Thurman phoned in her performance as she sometimes does.

English Patient was terribly overrated. OK so the scenery is fantastic. Great, so what. Lawrence of Arabia has lots of fine desert shots too but isn't a pile of poo. Scenery in Heavens Gate was utterly amazing too but no-one seemed to rave about "how utterly wonderful" it was. And the book was terrible. Presence of Juliette Binoche is an obvious plus but not enough of a reason to ever waste part of a life on it. (er, rant over)

(can't leave without making the obvious comment that A Night to Remember is a far far better movie than Titanic, ditto with Tora Tora Tora and Pearl Harbor)

That one with Sly Stallone up a mountain, where he drops the woman a few hundred feet right at the start. My girlfriend and I got kicked out the cinema cos we were laughing so much.

8MM with Nicolas Cage
Planet Of The Apes (the recent remake). All style, no substance.
Lord Of The Rings - crap film from a crap book. I do, however, love The Hobbit!
Wild Orchid. Should never have seen the light of day.

Nah ... any film where a seemingly indestructible John Voight gets regurgitated has a certain indefinable crapness that is rather endearing. Then again I'm a bit of a sucker for bad monster movies :o

If we're talking mainstream films, I'd have to go for Battlefield Earth too - I can't hear the word leverage now without laughing.

But if you throw the field open a bit, no one writing in this forum can possibly have seen a worse film than Manos, the HanRAB of Fate.

There are a few other MST3K selections that would be jostling for position too - e.g. Overdrawn at the Memory Bank, or The Wild Wild World of Batwoman.
