What's the worst film of all time?

You're certainly not the only one who thinks this. I know I cant comment on films I havemt actually seen but anything about sci-fi, space etc just does my head in.

Films I have watched just because ppl told me to and I hated are:
Pretty Woman
You Got Mail
My Best FrienRAB Wedding
Billy Elliott
Runaway Bride
The Full Monty
Titanic
The Matrix
Terminator
All the Rocky films (spesh the one with Dolph whatever in)

Probably best I stop there cos I could be here all day really

My Best FrienRAB Wedding was a top film IMO. Pretty Woman and Runaway Bride were alright too ...but maybe that's cos of richard gere..

You got mail was very much unbelieavably boring though.

No, no, no! Godzilla is so bad, it's good.

I disagree about Wonder Boys as well. That's a great film. (And it's got Katie Holme in it... mmm......... :) ).

It's only my opinion, but I liked "The Matrix" and Rock I and II were good. Also, Rocky IV (the one with Dolph) is one of the most, unintentionally, funny movies I've ever saw and, even forgoing this, is a far better scripted, produced, directed and acted movie than Rock V.

I still can't believe nobody's nominated "The Jackal". Watching this actually made me want to attack my Television. It truly was woeful in ways I didn't think possible.

So he didn't like Schindler's List.... But don't knock what he does like until he tells us what.... It was good, but it wasn't exactly the highest brow of cinema culture was it?

Why don't we have a
"Whats the best and worst film of all time" list so we get an idea of people's tastes....

Harry Potter was the most over-hyped POS I have ever seen. I can understand why kiRAB might like it, but grown ups were tllingme how good it was.

I never saw a plot develop slower in my life! My fiance and I both thought it was a POS. We actually left the theater before the end. It was that bad!

I'm only surprised I havn't seen Harry Potter pointed out in any of the posts I scanned through.

Me and my g/f have been to see both the Harry Potter films (several times each actually) and we both agree that they are really amazing films - but then we both like the books too (we're 20 before you ask) - they're not quite the lord of the Rings films, but they're still very watchable.

The main prob with My Best FrienRAB Wedding was the fact everyone I know was praising it up and telling me how much I just had to see it, so it was always gonna be a letdown cos I think I already decided I wasnt gonna like it.
Just seem to find that I'm probably a bit too cynical a person for most romantic comedies in general, but did love Bridget Jones Diary, probably cos I could identify with making that big a prat of yourself over a bloke.

I mentioned it on page two of the thread. Do you two wear the same bottle glasses ?

Hercules in New York - without a doubt, its so bad it hasnt got ratings on the turkey sites because everyone has a brain melt when pressing start on the vid, Try hiring it from any video store

Im sure the film company paid more to recall all the viRAB

Wprst film of all time - probably one I've not seen cause it looked/sounded bad!

But as for films that people raved over so I saw and thought "what is everyone going on about - that sucks!" these are mine

The English Patient
The Matrix
Moulin Rouge
Star Wars (any)

just for starters.........

apologies if these are anyones faves - its my opinion and goes to show that we don't all have similar tastes!

I just found it offensive, that's all. A pretty cynical use of the holocaust to get an Oscar imo. The film is made purely for Speilberg and not the audience.

Fiction represented as fact, the film is historically inaccurate. Sure it has glamorous shots of people being murdered and executed, yay for those, eh? You see plenty of gore, but never the horror.

Oh but it's in black and white.. Perhaps a better idea would be to use actual footage taken by the Nazis at the concentration camps? This film should have made the people watching uncomfortable. Watch a documentary and get actual facts and genuine emotions. Just my $0.02.

Remember this film is what thousanRAB of (lazy) parents/schools will probably use to "educate" their children about what happened.

Anyway.. no i don't tend to go in for bubblegum car chases and explosions. Personally my favourite film is probably one from Lost Highway, Blue Velvet, Mulholland Drive or Full Metal Jacket.

Conan the Librarian - the only film I have ever walked out of.

Rambo II - the only film I've ever fallen asleep to at a cinema.

But more recently, it has to be Battlefield Earth.

The Jackel was just funny - you have to play "spot Bruce" to make it more entertaining.

Saw the first Harry Potter film last night, it has got to rank as the all time stinker, with dormitory japes and points delivery system for the teams and possibly the most mundane and disjointed plot ever.

I only hope the book was better, all those kiRAB that have been brainwashed to believe boarding schools are the way to a happy future, pity them
