I want to try making sushi for the first time but i want to know what kind of fish i should use. i want to try sushi and sashimi but i don't want to kill my family...??????

Salmon is by far the most widely used fish to make sushi in the United States, and is a very safe bet for an American diet. I would try that for your family.

And best of luck to you! Sushi is not an easy thing to learn how to make. I have failed miserably trying before with my girlfriend.

salmon's safe
but
heres a list of sushi u should make...
: shrimp, halibut, yellow tail.....make calfornia rolls and make ur own different kind of sushi!!!!!!!!!!

It's great that you don't want to kill your family! Salmon is good and if you want to go for a richer flavor, try bluefin tuna.
