Whats going to happen to me? professional educated answers please?

in October last year i met a girl online 2 years younger then me she was 15 i was 16 at the time now im 17.Also i live in California and shes in Canada She sent me naked pictures of herself over email and a cop from Canada called me telling me what Ive done.He told me that her mom reported it to the cops. He got all my information like my address age msn account email and I asked him whats going to happen to me and he said nothing if im really 17 years old. I proved that i was really 17 years old and he said that his investigation is over and the case was now closed. He said nothing else was going to happen. I'm still really scared that somethings going to happen to me and every time i get a restricted call i fear that its the cops. I know what i did was wrong which is why i stopped talking to her and never did anything like that again but what is going to happen to me now? He said it was over and nothing was going to happen but i dont know. Im really stressed out about this and i worry constantly its been about 2 weeks since he called. What is going to happen to me? Also it took him 3 months to call me after it happened and my parents or anyone else havent been contacted. I dont want to be registered as a sex offender thats my worst fear so is anything at all going to happen to me? He said that the case is closed and I asked if cops would call or show up at my house and he just said no police will contact or show up at your house in relation to my investigation.Its been over a month since he last called me and im dieing just thinking whats going to happen to me? Is it possible theres like a pending case for me and ill be arrested in the near future? Also if nothing is going to happen to me can you tell me why not? because ive heard of people getting in serious trouble for related problems.whats going to happen to me........please someone who knows give a detailed and explanatory answer. thank you in advance for answering.
thanks for all the anwers and i considered he wasnt a cop but he said hes apart of the peel regional police and gave me his name number and extenstion and it all matches up with the site i looked at so im pretty sure he was a cop... Any other answers? im really freaked out some cops gonna come up and arest me randomly one day
