Whats Eating Gilbert Grape- Good night to you but not me!

Oh I know I always tear up at the scene when gilbert is talking to his mother on the bed and she says " I never wanted to be this way" :(

The Fugitive was a very good movie...but at least Leo got an Oscar nomination...that's an honour in and of itself....

Johnny is my favorite actor and I totally love this movie. And I even liked Leonardo in it, who I totally can't stand. It was just a really well made movie. And sad too. The situation with the mother was awful.

The person who wrote the book wrote the screenplay!

This is one film you can watch OVER and OVER

I am a fan!

that was a sad scene I agree. I would hate to be slow and not know how to take care of myself and I have been sitting in a freezing cold tub overnight

I love Johnny's character in the film as well. He did good with acting out his problems and being the man of the house.

I always cry at the scene where the mom dies in the bed. :(

This movie was a tour de force for Leonardo DiCaprio. What a brilliant performance.

Johnny Depp was no slouch, either. You could just feel Gilbert's frustration. You could feel the suffocation he felt and the burden he was shouldering.

One of the best movies ever.

I agree.

I never really liked Leo but after watching this movie, he had earned my respect as an actor. He was really darn good on this film. A role like that is hard to pull and he did it great. I feel in love with Arnie.

I was sobbing like a baby when they did the scene with Leo's character, Arnie trying to wake up his Mom after she climbed the stairs!...it was so sad! :(

(Are you frakking me? Seriously? *unhappy sigh* That movie wasn't even good, in my opinion)

To me, even though Johnny is making an accurate and believable job, Leo really does steal the show. You don't look at him like he's Leo in this film, you see him as Arnie and you love every movement that character makes because he's so innocent, fragile and precious :D

Leo did win a few awards--not the Oscar though (he lost to Tommy Lee Jones in The Fugitive...that's right, I said Tommy Lee Jones in The Fugitive.... )

Chicago Film Critics Most Promising Actor
National Board of Review--Supporting Actor

and the Film won Best Picture at the Guild of German Art House Cinema

Love love love this movie. The movie that really introduced me to Leo (I had seen This Boys Life but didn't recall it really).

Infact, I had to recently rewatch it because I had never really paid attention to Johnny Depp in it!

That I can understand ;) Why don't you like... rent it? It's worth every penny. Leo was so wonderfully amazing. He completely stole the show from Johnny

Can I be added? This is one of my favorite movies ever! I always go on rants about how much I love it
