Whats Eating Gilbert Grape- Good night to you but not me!

This was a really amazing movie. I watched it when I was younger and I didn't really understand at first why everyone thought it was so good. But, after watching it again when I got older .. it's probably one of my favorite movies. Johnny Depp and Dicaprio are both fabulous in it. I always think about how tough it probably was for Leo to play this part .. and do it as well as he did. Everyone in the movie was really good.

And it's just so sad .. =(

And tell us what do you think of the book, too. I can scan the cover for you if you like. :)

Actually you can just go on Back to the future thread on 80s board and my pic is posted there :P

Aww I agree, that scene was upsetting cause in the beginning Gilbert was telling Arnie that noone hurts him :(

I totally agree, this was the first film of seeing Leo. He did such a good job at playing a mentally challenge boy. Btw, I love your icon. Is that just a random guy in it?

omg i LOVE this movie. i don't know how many times i've watched it. johnny, leo & juliette lewis - a perfect cast. how could i not love this movie.
it's probably my favorite johnny movie ever. and leo was brilliant.

Yes. There's a movie tie-in book. The book's based on the movie. You can check it on your local bookstore under the movie tie-in section. Hope it's available there. :)

Whoa, that's just...odd. I mean, Johnny has a beautiful face and his personality is so attractive. But hey, it's cool, more JD for us. Hehe.

My brother and I used to watch this movie a lot when we were younger. I love it. It's such a good movie. Johnny and Leo did an amazing job.

 yeah he does. I will bring the pic of here. It looks more like Crispin Glover as George Mcfly in back to the future though

groovyk1- ooo yay! Thats awesome that you like this movie too

:bawl: I know!

Ahhh, you were more than right! Heh. Leo has turned into such a fine actor. This performance was the promise, and he delivered beautifully.

I saw this movie yesterday and I absolutely adored it. I loved the relationship between Gilbert and Arnie and how Gilbert really wanted to take care of Arnie and their friendship. It was touching.
