I seem to recall a few years ago about how a film studio picked up the rights to Tom Clancy's Rainbow Six, but nothing has materialized since then.
A quick check on imdb.com lists something due in 2010 but does not give any more details. So does anyone know what's happening with this film?
To be honest I would rather they turned it into a short TV series, spanning say 8 or 9 episodes. If anyone has read the book then they will know there is a lot of action in it, with various hostage and rescue situations. A mini-series would have been ideal as each episode could end with one of these situations as the climax for that week. All the while building up the characters stories and the sinister main plot which the viewer would get hints about each week till the final two episodes where the truth comes out in a "oh my god" moment (if you read the book you would know what I mean).
