For example in many Arab nations (the issue of honor-killing is so ingrained in ther subconscious that even when given Quranic and Islamic evidence of the Haram nature of taking someones life in your own hands ,they completely disregard it.I had a conversation with an Egyptian Muslim today that blew my mind,I discussed the Honor Killing of Texas based sisters Sarah and Amina said:he said "definitely the father will be rewarded for that!My jaw almost dropped to the floor,I quoted Quran and Hadith,but they still were not convinced,I assume because that's part of his cultural roots.Another example of Culture and religions clashing is in the subject of female circumcision which has been practiced in Egypt and other African nations for years as part of a cultural superstition,the MUSLIMS actually believe its Islamic to cut the clits from their women.I personally think its sad the way people confuse Islam with the mixed up cultures of these individuals,I truly feel the ones who should be punished are the ones who misguide people about the true Islam.
Let me clarify (There is no place in Islam for barbaric practices such as female circumsition and Honor Killings nor for terrorist attacks or Jihads against the innocent.But sadly many people are brainwashed by their culture or society to find honor in the above,how do we re-educate these people?
