What would be the best amplifier for one kicker l7 12"?

The RMS max is 750 while the watts max is 1500 on the kicker l7 12".

I was looking at the kicker zx 750.1 but it seems to be a bit too powerful for one sub. being that it pushes 750 rms and ive heard it actually pushes 900+rms.

Also i checked out the the kicker 1500. pushes 1500 watts and 500 rms.

Im somewhat new to car stereo stuff. so all help would be good. im not very picky on brands, just want a good quality brand without paying the mega bucks.

I am assuming you will be running at 1 ohm.

The Fosgate Power series 500-bd will do the trick for sure and you can pick one up for about $200 new if you shop around and are patient. it is 500rms but mine was bench tested at 1640 watts rms at <1% THD.
 
Actually I've seen a few birthsheets on that amp ranging from 785rms upwards to 900rms. But that would be a good amp to go with your L7. Just set your gain properly.
