What would be the best amp choice? Is 500 watts to much? Should i match my rms?

I have a P3 shallow mount sub at 2 ohms and 400 rms.

Also is .75 cu ft enough air space? I'm trying to mount it under my seat and I figured these subs could run with minimum air space.
 
your 400 rms is what your speakers us all the time, so you dont always have to match that and 500 wats sounds perfect. im not sure about your air space cause every speaker and box needs differnt space, also is it a ported box or sealed box?? that will determine the size of your box. if u have enough room go with a ported box it will make a huge differnce
 
Whether it's a 10" or 12" P3, .75 is actually more than enough space. It's well within the recommended sealed-box size range; you can actually use a box as small as .40 cu ft with the 10" sub, or .60 cu ft with the 12" sub.

Ideally, you'll want to stick with an amp rated for 400 watts or less. You can use a 500-watt amp, but you'll have to be very careful. Be sure you're matching the impedance ratings; if you have a 4-ohm P3, then the load at the amp will be 2 ohms, because a P3 is a dual voice coil sub. Make sure you're looking at the 2-ohm rating of your amplifier.
