The performances started INSIDE the church, after several years of this, plays were performed on the back of WAGONS like a float from a Christmas Pageant. There were trapdoors in the performance space for an entrance to hell. God and the angels could enter the stage bia a crane, there were floods, smoke, blood, live animals and fantastic costumes.
What would be the advantages and disadvantages of performing in this manner?
