Nice choice for a subwoofer, i have a friend with it and it beats like hell, For your amp i will recommend a kenwood 1800 watt mono block amp, hifonics brutus 1200 watt mono block amp, kicker 750.1 amp, or a mtx 600watt mono block amp
Actually a p300.1 will run that thing perfect! It was actually the setup I had, before dropping 4 P3 15's and a t1500.1 amp. From what I have read online most p300.1 amps run anywhere from 400-480 RMS and all over 1200 max. You can get this amp for around 150 online or at ABC warehouse (just play the hard role and they will sell it at any price you want to pay). Hope this helps!
You need to pick up a nice 500w amp. Something like the rockford 500.1 would work perfectly, or even the Alpine MRP-M500 would do your sub justice.
-Just FYI, you might think about reverse mounting your P3. I've seen too many of those subs shatter the second anything touches the cone, so you might want to reverse it to avoid that issue.
...Punch P3 in a ported box? 15-inch, 4-ohm dual voice coil subwoofer with 1000 watts maximum power handling (500 watts RMS). And I am hooking it up to my factory receiver in my 2000 Avalon because an aftermarket receiver doesn't look right in my car without the wood-grain around it.
