What will Bell activate

6141s are no longer for sale. Your chances of finding one in a store are extremely remote. If you're going to buy a new receiver, at least consider the contract. You'd get free install of the HD.

You can install yourself. If you do there is no contract.

If you are considering going HD, I would install your 3 receivers yourself first. Then if you buy an HD receiver and call Bell, they will carry out a full Upgrade suitable for ALL of your receivers, so you would get an SW44, extra LNBF etc all for free.....

Providing you did NOT add a second LNBF and subscribe to ANY channels from 82 degrees with your own 3 receivers before you got the HD box.

when they say $8 per theme, or $5 when 5 or more, how is it calculated?

4 packages = $32

5 packages = ?
- 4@$8 + 1@$5 = $37; or
- 5@$5 = $25 ?

I'm comparing the French "Basic HD" with "HD Essentiel Plus" with 5 theme boxes. The former is $26+(amount from above) vs $51 for the latter.

I would then need to add $3 for "Partout au Canada" and $3 for the digital access (let's get more money for our bottom line) fees.
