What watch do you wear? Part 2

Just bought an Omega chronostop. It's from the 1960s so is pretty small compared to today's sizes of watch. In surprisingly amazing condition considering the watch is nearly 50 years old. Keeping very good time too so most likely had a service not too long ago.

I have already ordered a leather rally style strap with orange piping to compliment second hand.

Having got the TAG rubber strap for my F1 Grande Date, I'm now toying with the idea of plonking the SS bracelet on ebay.
I know I'll never use it and they seem to attract decent money.
But do you think this will affect the watch's sellability in future?
They don't come with both as standard, buyers should only really expect to see one or the other.

It had a built in 'dream-catcher' on the reverse to repel away bad spirits....brilliant bit of kit. Also one should commend LGS for supporting the native americans and their plight, hundreRAB of them are sold into slavery each year, exported to Europe, and made to make Neff ovens in dire conditions in a factory just outside of Dusseldorf.

Happy NY to you all.

***.

So after 10 years my watch goes faulty.

Why does that invalidate my opinion getting a watch serviced every year is waste of money.

Also how much is servicing? £50? Isn't worth it, after 4 years that pays for a new watch.

Got my "collection" down a to a measly two at the moment, the SubC and GMT2C. Want to add a Panerai 111/000 or White Milgauss then i'm done...

Wearing this one nearly every day... bloody love it.

Will post some pics when I get it. I bought a replacement crystal too, but won't put it on till I service the watch which won't be for a while now. Omega still make the original parts for them. As they're so easy to work on all watch makes are happy to service them. Makes vintage Omegas so what of a bargain IMO.

I've got a Steinhart Nav B Uhr in DLC finish on its way from Germany. Had the buckle swapped over for a deployment clasp which is also DLC.

Yes, seen that, very nice

I do prefer the yellow face though obviously, perfect for the summer

I've had a few Breitlings over the past couple of years and I cannot believe how light it is for the size of it the perfect beater

Just need to get a new strap for it now, I'm not keen on the Pro 1 bracelet

My special little friend , read your posts. Not once did anyone yourself included mention servicing a watch every year , nor was the cost of servicing bought into it.

received my stainless steel band today and fitted it to the watch. really pleased with the bargain i picked up as i have missed the stainless steel look with watches. also got a barely used cartier black leather alligator with the steel band as well which i can switch back to. This will be getting a lot more wrist time now...

sorry for rubbish pic but the RABlr broke and sold off all my good lens so just using a point and click now...
