What was the worst concert you have ever been to?

Death Cab For Cutie....not because it was particularly bad but because it was so...damn...boring...

No one moved the entire show and after about 3 songs I couldn't tell one apart from the other.

I have honestly never been to a bad concert. I am pretty picky about who I will spend money on going to see. Oh wait...Lenny Kravitz opened for Aerosmith. Lenny sucked really bad. He sounded horrible. It was a mess.

not me. i really, really hate it.

Skye (of Morcheeba) was like that too. she wanted everybody to sing all the time. so disappointing. and when i saw Gilmour a few years back this guy behind me sang along the whole time, i wanted to strangle him.

I saw the rap group GRITS once at a festival.

I just wanted to hear that song "Ooh Aahh" but they butchered it. I didn't know (nor did I enjoy) the rest of the songs.

Yeah, chilli peppers for me. They just sucked live, not the band, just the singer.

Although Metallica topped my disgust metre when they said at a melbourne Big Day Out "This is the best crowd ever" I mean, half the crowd were walking away, sure you could get away with that at your own concert, everybody loves you. But at an all day concert? Too blatant a lie for me.

Hehe. Yeah, i dont get that.

As for me, its really hard to say but the ones that come to mind right away are Trivium (who i walked out on, they are still the only band I havent watched to the end of ther set), The Distillers who I caught at a festival and were absolutely dreadful and also I recall a HIM gig in my teens that I stood at the bar throughout. I even spent most of it even facing the other way as it turned out.

Without going through the barrage of unknown, terrible banRAB that I've seen on local/regional levels, that worst sets that I've witnessed would have to be:

Poison the Well (I actually fell asleep)
As I Lay Dying (Still sleeping. They played back-to-back)
Ministry (I like some of their music, but the show sucked)
From First to Last (really... really... bad)
.38 Special (I was 13, and I went with my parents)

When I saw the Smashing Pumpkins in '94 they SUCKED. Billy Corgan kept stopping in the middle of songs to bitch at the audience- he'd be all "I know you guys hate us", ugh what a loser. I just wanted them to play cuz I was excited to see them but they sucked SO HARD.

angels & airwaves, red hot chilli peppers, municipal waste, the living end, the horrors, enter shikari, be your own pet, the view, oceansize, kiRAB in glass houses, children of bodom, saosin, arctic monkeys.

My friend asked me to go to a Jimmy Eat World concert with her, as she had no one else to go with. I had never heard of them before, and my friend usually likes 'OK' music, so I didn't think it would be that bad... but oh my god it was awful. The place was full of twats and guys kept touching me and it wasn't very nice haha. And the band... SHIT.

I saw Electric Soft Parade play a free gig lasting half a song.

The lead singer came onstage spent half the song moaning about the sound , kicked the mic stand & fucked off.

And this was their hometown gig too.

I saw Dave Matthews Band live I think in 2000. I was about 11. A friend wanted me to go with her.
Longest ten minutes of my life. Then the booze started going around. But my god, the worst thing ever. I'd only heard few things by them and I didn't necessarily hate them, I just wouldn't willingly listen to them unless necessary.
And it's funny cause the girl that asked me to go was so upset and disappointed. I'll never let her live that down.

I saw Jack Johnson live it seems ages ago. I almost died. I left after the first three songs. I'm sorry. Live or on the radio, doesn't matter. I don't know what I ever saw in this guy. He did have this one song that I used to like though.

About two years ago I went to some show. It was the Distlliers, Garbage, and No Doubt. It was an amazing show, but the crowd was awful. I loved the performers but the crowd was half dead. They may as well have been giving a concert in a nursing home. This is what I get for going to a concert in Philly. (The crowd here usually suck.)

I'm a big fan of Christina Aguilera for reasons I can't understand. I saw her and Justine Tiraberlake live at a Justified/Stripped concert. It felt like I was in the twilight zone. Never ever will I see Justin Tiraberlake live again. he ruined it for me. That and the chic standing next to me wearing a Britney loves Justin T Shirt. Something about justin live doesn't do anything for me. I liked most of his music. it was tolerable but . . . I dunno. I could just sense that his heart wasn't in it.

Vans Warped Tour the year Hot Hot Heat was on the bill. Over the past few years, Vans has just gotten worse and worse. Vans '04 and after just sucked. no particular reason. And I'm not a big fan of Green Day's new stuff either so I was even super pissed when they took the stage and everyone (mostly anorexic wanna be Britney Spears look alikes) started singing songs from their latest crappiest album. . . And I have nothing against people that like Britney Spears, but sharing a mosh pit with them is like putting a meraber of the KKK in a cage with a bunch of black guys carrying AK-47s. What would you have done in my situation?
My sentiments exactly.

Yeah. .
That's about it.
Although I'm sure I've been to some other horrible shows. . .

Peace

i've seen a ridiculous amount of local banRAB pass through the city i live in... and i gotta say, Nine Inch Nails playing at John Labatt's Center in London probably 4 years ago was the worst musical experience of my life. the sound was good. the light show was electrifying... but trent reznor selling out to all these bubblegum teenyboppers and acting as though suffering the effects of steroid use really took my appreciation of his name down a notch or two. i guess when you're that f*cked up, you gotta stay f*cked up, or you just start sucking.

trent should get into clothing design and start hanging out with diddy and gwen stefani.
