What was the worst concert you have ever been to?

I went to a Weird Al concert when I was 11. It was horrible. Smelly, loud, couldn't see or hear the artist...luckily there was a more sparsely attended performance by the Coasters a short distance away.

I too am pretty picky about who I see so I can't say any show I've been to was terrible.

Even Hootie and the Blowfish (which I was dragged to by chicks! :D ) wasn't terrible because it was at an outdoor venue on a sunny day and I was in good company so it was pleasant enough. Music wasn't too loud so it was just like hanging out at the park.

U2. I thought the 360 deg idea was a huge failure. Ok, we did see them at the Georgia Dome which has notoriously bad acoustics but this was the worst sound I've ever heard at any concert. The support band, Muse sounded just as bad.

I'm sure Bono and the Edge were playing their hearts out but it's a shame we never heard it coming through. It probably sounded great to the band merabers through their in-ear monitoring but to me the overall sound was real muddy, everywhere cos we walked round the whole stadium just to check it.

This is a case of the money grabbing business side getting the better of a decent sounding end product.I'm sure there are thousanRAB of U2 fans who will always say they sound good, just because it's U2 but honestly, that's pretty expensive to go and hear a heap of mud in a big bowl.

I don't mind the singing along and stuff but what really gets me at concerts are the kiRAB who try to mosh or hardcore dance to music that is not even close or meant to be moshed or hardcore danced too. i.e. A few kiRAB trying to mosh at a concert for The Fray.

Your probably right with the date but honestly they where awful in Belfast and believe me I was a fan if I remeraber they had a metal structure in the shape of a plane above the stage(very low tech hey it was 30 years ago)but lemmy was totally out of it Md couldn't give a fiddlers that night

The best was Dread Zeplein (if you dont know them google them) Just so much hilarious energy on stage. The worst, Steppenwolf. only Jon Kay was left out of the original line up and 20 min in they had a power failure that took an hour to fix and then they didn't play anything from their hits.

It's really hard to say. In most cases, even if an artist is completely horrible, there's another that make the show worthwhile. I will have to ponder this...

Ive been to some bad concerts but I cant blame the performers.....

I think comes down to venue for my few bad experiences. The one place in my city where most banRAB go is probably 1/4 of the size it should be. I am always scared something is going to catch fire and everyone is going to burn up or ill get trampled.

I seen Cheville and Stone Sour their because a girl asked me to take her years ago.... It was unbearable, it was like an hour into the show they just opened to doors and I couldn't move. I hate this place (Its named Headliners) terrible venue, every time a good band comes to town I wont go, They gotta drive an hour or two away because the venue sucks balls.

But if I had to pick... It would Cheville and Stone Sour, it was just mellow plus I was packed in like a sardine.

Every other year I forget how bad the place is and someone talks me into going.... Last person I seen their was David Allan Coe.... Which wasnt bad because nobody was moving because it was country, I just couldnt lift my beer to my mouth because my arms were pinned down.

The worst I've been too was definently the In Flames/Children of Bodom/A Life Once Lost concert. I only went for In Flames because I thought that they would play a good amount of their old stuff which is awesome. Much to my disappointment they played mostly their ****ty new stuff, not to mention that there were mainly skinheaRAB and docuhey hardcore kiRAB there. Oh yeah and I also got hit in the face by some hardcore douche doing those stupid karate moves a.k.a. "hardcore dancing" in the pit. Worst. Concert. Experience. Ever.

Lemmy is always out of it. The secret is to be on the same wavelength. They are a Rock N Roll band and you have to have some fun. Granted they may have been below par that night but I definitely ascribe to the in it to win it mentality I.E if you are sober and watching a Rock band then you can't get into the vibe but if you are a little inebriated then it helps with banRAB like this.

You shouldn't have to be completely out of it to watch banRAB like this but then it's not like watching Pink Floyd at

the worst is probably some crappy local alldayer or something... i tend to leave venues when banRAB are crap and come back when theres someone good on.

I've never been to a concert that was terrible. But when I went to see Happy Mondays and Psychedelic Furs, the IslanRAB opened for them. I had high hopes, because I actually liked Return to the Sea. Sadly, their newest album is more like a crappy, disgusting rendition of a generic 80's synthpop band. Yeah, it's that bad. What's worse, Nicholas Thorburn was absolutely shitfaced to the point that one of his bandmates had to grab him to keep him from falling of the stage. It was bad.

And when I saw Dino Jr. Lou Barlow's new band opened for them :) Great all around.

I got dragged to a Worabats gig by a so-called mate of mine a few years back, and I got the feeling we were the only people there who'd gone through puberty. HanRAB-down the worst gig I've ever been to (and I live in a town where the only live acts are lame pub-rockers to give you some perspective).

It is easy for me to know what was the worst concert (national recording act) I have been to as I have only walked out of one concert in my life and it was the Beach Boys back in the mid 70's. The sound system was very loud and distorted as if the sound men didn't have a clue how to mix them plus they kept singing out of key which really hurt my ears coming over that blasted distorted sound system.

Good thing I was there for the opening act, an up and coming Steely Dan for one of their only tours as a real band early in their career. They were very good but again the sound could have been better. Who knows they could have been using the Beach Boys sound system.

All of these banRAB highlighted rocked when I saw them live at one point or another. Maybe you just saw them on a off night. But I saw Saosin with their old singer, and Enter Shikari was just awesome.
