The Ugly Truth - I can't believe I actually enjoyed this movie the first time I saw it. Barf.

Sweet Home Alabama - Always cute, but nothing special.

What Women Want - Last night I sat down and watched the ENTIRE movie, which I hardly ever do. The first half is great, but it starts to drag at the end... like most Nancy Meyer movies seem to do.
 
The trailer for After Life seemed bad.

But I love psychological thrillers.

I'll give it a chance. :)
 
I've heard nothing but bad reviews on this one, you're the first to actually have enjoyed it.

Don't Be Afraid of the Dark (1973)- Starring Kim Darby

Kind of cheesy, there were these little gremlin/troll like things trying to kill 'Sally' (Darby). Entertaining overall.

Looking forward to the remake coming out next year starring Katie Holmes. The idea of spirits or a 'presence' is more horrifying than little green trolls. ;)
 
Inception. And I must be the only person in the world that wasn't completely crazy about it.
 
The Sorcerer's Apprentice: :lol: Even though it had some funny moments...it's kinda lame imo :shrug:

Troy: This one I enjoyed, very entertaining, but Orlando Bloom can't act IMHO so all his scenes meant nothing to me.. :rolleyes:
 
The Crazies

This is a zombie movie without the drooling, bloody zombies. More psychologically scary than the jumbing out at ya, kind of film.
 
^That's been sitting on my shelf unwatched for weeks. I was really excited to see it, but then I heard Randy Newman did all the music, barf.

Orphan - Slow "horror" flick, with a surprise ending. Only worth watching if you're a Peter Sarsgaard fan like myself.
 
After.Life - Starring Christina Ricci, Liam Neeson, Justin Long.

This was a freaky movie that keeps you guessing throughout. Even at the end of the movie, I wasn't sure of the real ending.

[sp]The debate was weather Anna (Ricci) was really dead, killed in a car accident, or if Eliot (Neeson), the Funeral Home director, drugged her, paralyzing her to appear dead, meaning she was still alive.

The basis of the film was that is seemed as though Eliot was a psychic medium of sorts, helping the dead transition into the after life. But the is she alive or dead question will really make you question.

After reading other's comments on various movie message boards, I've come to the conclusion that...you really need to watch for yourself, because otherwise, it will spoil it, and then we can debate the issue![/sp]

Definitely recommend this to anyone who likes a psychological thriller that keeps you guessing, even as the credits roll!
 
The scenes with Hit Girl are the greatest. :D

I saw Brothers. It was a very nice acted-out film, even the little girls are good. I really liked it. The scene when they were all on the table was superb.
 
Melika: I probably won't catch the American Version...I'm not the biggest fan of taking a foreign film and remaking it for American audiences. (I never saw the films The Departed was based on....so this one doesn't count..haha)
 
Superbad which is probably one of the worst movies I've seen, don't know what happened to Nicolas Cage....
 
I didnt like the books and I didn't like the first movie. The second and the third movies were much better in my opinion.
 
I'm a bit of a horror fan cause don't mind slashers and LOVE Silent Hill and think I can throw the RE movies in :in_love: but related to "horror" for me, its more of a thrillers like Hannibal and didn't mind the one Saw movie I saw outside of the :sick:
 
Greenberg - Oh my god. Do not watch unless you enjoy spending two hours with an a-hole.
