Oh, the phone call scene broke my heart! I couldn't even imagine how I would react to getting news like that over the phone.

:star: The Hunt for The Red October
:star: Broken Arrow

Seen both many times and both are classics IMO

Inception - really good movie I thought, cast were great and great concept, well done Mr Nolan, and yes still a little mind frakked..

I loved The Descent Part 2. For a sequel, it was really good!

[sp]Plus seeing that Juno wasn't dead, like I thought she was from the first movie, was a treat![/sp]

They did change the order in how people died, but I think that was largely in part to show Dillinger as the last one taken down.

I loved:

[sp]how they filmed Dillinger getting shot, it was quite intense how they did it, and definitely memorable![/sp]

ETA:

When in Rome
- Starring Kristen Bell, Josh Duhamel.

I'm not a huge fan of Kristen Bell, and this movie was sort of predictable, but it was sweet and cute and Josh is so hot! I love him!

A good film to watch if you want some light hearted romance with not a lot of drama!

The Private Lives of Pippa Lee - Very moving. I thought the movie would be boring but it was decent. If anybody can play a tragic free spirit is Robin Wright Penn.

The Adventures of Sharkboy and Lavagirl-i'm a fan of cheesy disney channel movies (this wasn't one but they showed it on the disney channel)...i love high school musical and camp rock...but this one was really cheesy....my sister loves Taylor Lautner so we watched it...even though we are both in our 20's! so the movie was actually pretty good! great visuals and there was actually a plot...i was surprised! it was funny too...not bad at all for a kids movie!

Happy Endings - A quirky little movie with a lot of familiar faces, including; Lisa Kudrow, Maggie Gyllenhaal and Jason Ritter. Throughout the movie, a black sidebar would appear with little "facts" about the characters, which I felt were either unnecessary or just badly written. I can't decide which. Overall, I really enjoyed it and am glad I watched this comedy that wasn't all that funny. I didn't even know what a happy ending was until about a year ago, how pathetic?

I'm more of a crime/drama, horror fan, so I was going out of my zone to watch it and there are a lot of movies I like/love that are out of my zone, but Juno just didn't intrigue me.

I have to add, I love the 'baby/johnny' icon! My favourite movie ever!

Heat

It was good but the best thing about this movie is it's cast.

Pacino and De Niro :thud:

Why were you looking forward to it if you couldn't get through the book?

Julia Roberts has kinda been rubbing me the wrong way lately (not sure why though, I used to love her!) so I don't think I could sit through any current movie of hers right now.

I tried to watch a little bit of one of those lame parody movies that come out every few years....Not sure of the lame title of this one---something with 41 year old virgin in it. Soooooo bad. Even worse then those movies normally are.

^^ I just watched A Single Man last night! I agree, very poignant and heavy (not sure if heavy was the word I was looking for, but it was the only one I could think of). The phone call scene and Colin Firth's facial expressions throughout? Lordy. He definitely deserved all of the attention he got for that film.

Inception-Amazing movie so brilliant and original. Best movie this year by far!!!

Christopher Nolan continues to blow my mind with his movies
