What was the best console from last generation now that we're all on the new gen?

PS2 by FAR, IMO. So many fantastic games and the hardware has always worked flawlessly. I still find myself eyeing PS2 games at gamestop. Too bad the PS3 is so bad...

Also, the Dualshock is an awesome controller. Having the 4 face buttons be analog was a great decison.

ill go with ps2 for sure. xbox i got rid of as soon as possible when 360 supported halo games. beyond halo games, nothing was overly amazing on xbox.

Forza is a good one and I always preferred the Xbox version of the cross-platform titles (quicker load times + being able to use a custom soundtrack + better controller for me). Ninja Gaiden was pretty good too. PS2 had more exclusive hits though.

I had a PS2 but other than a couple snowboarding games and GT3 & 4 It was kinda meh, never liked it as much as my current system.

forza was ok, played it alot for maybe 2 weeks online, beyond that, didnt touch it anymore, so it lost its appeal pretty fast for me. i was without broadband back then so that didnt help things when i didnt have my xbox at friends. custom soundtracks while nice, is something i still dont use. i did at first like, wow, this is awesome, now i dont even bother with it. i play too many games where i need to hear whats going on around me.

God Of War was a huge sleeper hit for me, i didnt really look at much about it, just happened to pick it up cause i wanted a new game to play, and i was amazed, probably one of the best ps2 games made next to mgs 3. i cant wait for sequels.
