What did/do you prefer? 90s Disney (talespin, darkwing duck, goof troop, gargoyles) or 90s W-B (Tiny Toons, Animaniacs, Freakazoid, Batman: the animated series)?

Tough decision if i were to go back to those days as a small child i'd probably pick the disney afternoon toons. But now that i've gotten older and rewatched these shows on dvd i've seen them from a much more different perspective. And sadly the disney toons have lost most of the charm they had while the warner bros cartoons have actually gotten funnier and more enjoyable. Disney cartoons have always been aimed strictly at kids and people who watch them with their kids. Where Warner bros toons can be enjoyed by every one.

The only time I really got into the Disney cartoons was when they used the real high quality animation(you know the one that looked like a more detailed Startoons). Other than that, WB was my spot.

The Disney shows of the 1990s were mostly pretty darn good, but the Warner Bros. shows just made me laugh more. Besides, I've had a heavier exposure to them anyway, so I've been able to study them at length.

I used to love watching Darkwing Duck, Goof Troop, and Talespin but almost 90% of what I had seen has long been forgotten. The warner brothers shows on the other hand brought back many fun memories of great episodes that I often quote on occasion. So yeah to me Warner Brothers kicks Disneys butt.

Darkwing Duck was the closest they got to getting remotely WB-ish. It was one of the more edgier comedic shows of the time being more clever with the satire as well as the obvious parody of Batman.

Even as a kid I didn't watch much Disney. My forte was WB cartoons like Tiny Toons, Animaniacs, and Batman TAS, as well as the old school Merrie Melodies/Looney Tunes. In fact, I didn't see the vast majority of Disney Afternoon shows when they first aired; it wasn't until I got Toon Disney a decade later that I caught up on a lot of them. And having seen both, I can confidently say I like WB better.

Disney owned the 80s, but WB owned the 90s. The Silver Age toons (Tiny Toons, Animaniacs and the like) and the DCAU made it a great time for cartoon fans.
