You could go with another brand for amp but I would stay with mono class d CEA compliant amps. I usually try to stay with the kicker amps for the kicker subs always seemed to sound the best to me.

get the new 08 kicker zx1000...i had the old zx1000 on two 15" L5's and it pushed the shit out of them!! well worth the money!! also considering you have the dvc 2 ohm subs be sure to wire them in series...i'm not saying you don't know what youre doing..just reminding that's all, well good luck!
