what subwoofers are better the RE SX woofers, alpine type r's or the orion...

I'd say the orion.. but one thing i like about RE is they are really nice to look at, and if you give them a nice big box theyll do what you want.. i wouldnt get the kickers because they're not very good as far as SQ..
Another one you might want to look into is the memphis m3 (thats what I have) or the competition verson: Memphis mojo

I don't have any experience with the RE's, so I can't say much about them, other than that they look good online.... *shrug*
Alpine Type-R's are good subs, but not even in the same league as Orion's HCCA. Ridiculous power handling, crazy loud.... If you want to be heard in the next area code, the HCCA's will do it for you. Just don't go easy on the power. 2000 watts RMS isn't easy to feed. New HO alternator, yellow top battery, 0 gauge wire, couple farads worth of capacitor... and that's just for one sub! Good luck feeding 4000 RMS to a pair.
