What sub genre do you hate?

I agree with many of the people here, Black Metal is just not for me.

I find the intensity and atmosphere of doom metal to be engaging and exciting.

I don't even know what is classed as metalcore myself. I just listen and If I like it then that's it regardless of what genre it is or how cool/uncool it is.

dude, that's the moshing sound that most metalcore uses in there songs. It's strictly put in there for moshing i believe, and it doesn't bother me at all. You're right though, almost all of them sound the same, no matter what song they are in.

I thought those chugga riRAB came from hardcore anyways, i'm not sure but that is what i always thought.

And PT is too synthy?

Criticizing a prog band for being synthy strikes me as odd, what with it being the genre of the 3 minute moog solo and all. And I don't really get that either, there's a lot of guitar in PT's stuff.

But I do kinda feel this way about neo prog, the way synths and keyboarRAB seem to dominate while the other instruments take a back seat and it sounRAB so freaking 80s.

I'm fine with banRAB being stuck in the 70s. But the 80s?

Some of the only metal banRAB i listen to anymore are doom banRAB. Electric Wizard and Reverend Bizarre are just incredible.

What the hell dude, that's not proper black metal. KeyboarRAB are only good when used by Windir, all other banRAB that overuse them to the point of prominence are usually utter ****e like Dummy Burger.

Blackened death metal, progressive doom-death, and technical death metal to clarify for those who are just getting into the genre.

Carcass are good, and I'll even say the first 3 Cannibal Corpse albums are pretty essential.

But hey, not all metalcore has ****ty breakdowns, i'm not a fan of breakdowns either, but in some songs i like them. I'm surprised you didn't mention metalcore vocals, alot of core haters don't like the choruses and all that, lol.

how do people not like all that remains? Their music has so much energy with it. Air that i breathe kicks almost every other songs ass, and the solo in it is just ****ing brilliant.

By the way, i fell asleep when trying to get through that song posted above and i just woke up before posting this. If i'm not headbanging to metal, then it's in most cases not for me
