what size speaker wire should i use?

i have two 10inch pioneer subs(500watts max)apiece and im running them to a 760 pioneer amp.i want to know what size speaker wire should i run from the speakers to the amp,, and whats the best way to hook them up,, separate or bridged in a series going from one speaker to the next and then to the amp???
