i was 17 when i got my first ninja, i had plenty of experience just like you. i started off with a zx9r. but to let you know, its a totally different experience. very fun to ride!!!!

just talking engine size because they all have the same seat height and i am 16 but i hav lots of motorcycle experience including motocross and jumping

Its' good you have riding experience, but street riding, especially in ANY traffic is a whole different animal - especially with a "crotch rocket ". I would recomend an ABATE riding course, its' not ment to teach how to ride, in the normal sense, but rather how to save your ass on todays roads! I would reccomend a different bike until I got street experience. But , the smallest ninja ( cc's ) for a starter, may be a big plus !

If it's your first street bike, you should look at the EX500 or the Ninja 650R. The ZX-6, ZX-10, and ZX-14 are far, far too much bike for a first-time street rider. Even the Ninja 250R would be a good first bike.

I would recommend starting off with a 600, but if you have been riding all of your life, I still would not take it any higher than a 750. not to mention, 750s are heavier.

With your experience I would say 500 or 650.

600 is still too much of a beast, I'm convinced, for new to street riders. (I won't even discuss the 6r, the old 7r, the old 9r, 10r, 11r, 12 and god forbid 14.)
