culture? I want something easy? and cheap for about 40 people. Im Black and I would like to bring something from my culture but have no idea what. I'll take all ideas from different cultures though
 
Definitely go with the biscuits and gravy. Get the 50 cent gravy packet from Kroger or Fred's or whatever and cook it in the microwave...just buy the freeze & bake biscuits.
 
Nothing says it better than good old fashioned macaroni and cheese. Use the recipe off the Mueller's Box. It is foolproof and three boxes will feed an army, their only getting a couple tablespoons; particularly if others are bringing food too.

The key to making this Mac & Cheese creamy and delicious, is to remove the roux from the heat and then add the cheese and ad 2-3 American cheese slices...it does the trick. You can reheat in an over or "carefully" in a microwave.

It says use sharp cheese, but I use 1 cup sharp and 1 cup Monterrey Jack.
