What programming language should I learn?

Hi, I want to learn how to programm, but I have no experience in it, nor do I know much about programming. So I was wondering: what language is best to start with? One that is relatively easy to learn, one you can find a lot of tutorials or info about and mostly: one that teaches me the right way to programm and make it relatively easy to switch to another language. I'm mainly interrested in programming computer and console (PS3) applications and games. I'm currently trying out Visual Basic 2010 Express, but I just don't get it...
Any help or tips are much appreciated!
