What movies suprised you?

The Others . I'd heard so much hype about this movie that I couldn't wait to go and see it, but, it turned out to be a complete load of rubbish. It's one of the worst films I've seen and I still can't believe I wasted time and money seeing it

Spider-Man 3 - I've been a Spidey fan for years already, since the comics. And I even liked the first two films. But this third one was very disappointing. Basically, far too many departures from the comics and too many underwritten characters for my liking. This film's nearly on par with the disaster that is X-Men: The Last Stand.

I loooooove that movie. Its so awesome. I agree that you have to see it more than once. If you haven't seen it already, rent Blue Velvet, another David Lynch film. I prefer MD but BV is good too.

Sideways surprised me because I had high expectations and was disappointed. Some of it was pretty funny but overall it was somewhat boring. Same with The Life Aquatic. It was like The Royal Tenenbaums, only minus everything that was good about that movie.

I was also surprised by The Ring; I thought it looked incredibly stupid but my friend dragged me to it, and I ended up liking it a lot.

Yes Van Helsing was suprisingly awful. The main character was kind of incompetent and knew nothing of vampires which conflicts with what we know of Van Helsing himself through the countless Dracula movies there have been.

OMG, I know...

I jumped, cause it was so unexpected and then I was like WTF, Just happened?

That was B.S. IMHO

Other movies that surprised me were,

Alpha Dog - Seriously F**KED UP man. I didn't know the story before hand, so it shocked the hell out of me, pissed me off and made me cry my eyeballs out. Justin's performance was shocking too. Didn't expect him to portray emotion, or have a heart. I'm still pissed about this one. I can't even my bring myself to watch it again. Once was enough for me.

The Devil's Rejects - It blew my mind how much I enjoyed the film and the turn that the movie took on the firefly clan. The last half hour was brilliant and shocking.

The Sixth Sense - Never seen it coming. I love watching it with someone who has never seen the movie. Their reacton is so hilarious, cause I know, it's the same one I had.

Scream - I know it's an oldie, but I love it and in my mind everyone was a suspect when I first saw it. I was like he did, no she did it, when actually, it was THEY who did it... Loved IT

Se7en - Shocking, Bloody, Gory, Terrific, never seen it coming, Ending.

Fightclub - Still has me scratching my head, when I watch it..

Primal Fear - Oh.... Edward was great and the ending was so in your face, you actually felt sorry for me, twist.

Frailty - Good, creepy, spine tingler and Yet, I thought I had it figured out, then BAM, right in my face. I still don't get it..

Saw - Ever bit as good as Silence of the lamb's, or Se7en, so I was shocked and the movie was good. I don't prefer the sequel's though.

The Green Mile - I was pissed, when I found out who done it, cause I actually laughed at his scene's and then felt disgusted and pissed cause John died for a crime he did not commit.

Wildthing's - Has to be one of the most f**ked up ending's ever. It was awesome, but man, that took alot of cleaver work.

Prom Night - I watched this first time w/ my best friend Amy, and I surprised how entertaining it was. Sure it was a horror movie, but at the same time it had a good storyline in it as well. :D

Juno was really a surprise to me. People keep saying it was really good so I just watched to see what the fuss was about. It was great! I was laughing so hard. I loved it!

Dogville I don't know if you guys have seen it. But when the movie was starting my mother and I were suprised because it didn't have a location, it was all made on a stage. But after 20 minutes we saw how good the movie was and Nicole Kidman was fantastic; she really is a tremendous actress

And the ending is even more shocking I give this movie and A++++ :D

Gattaca i looked at it thinking this is going to be such a boring film about some man trying to make it into the flgiht industry but i was so wrong the whole pulling off the scam of becoming a different person really shocked me.

Lord of the rings.. My brother made me watch 3 at the movies and i always thought lord of the rings to be a boring alow movie yet i hadn't really seen it. When i saw three i coulnd't keep my eyes off it event hough i didn't understand much about the past (which i got by asking my brother) the fighting and the end to the story was really intresting..Then it made me go watch the others which i found equally as intresting.

Pirates of the Caribbean - I didn't want to see this movie at all originally. I thought it looked stupid, but my friend who had already seen it dragged me to it, insisting that it was good. Now it's one of my favorite movies.

Transformers. I really was expecting a crappy film, I only went to see it at the cinema to please my children. I was rolling around with laughter at nearly all the film, it was a pleasant suprise :)

Prestige after totally loving the Illusionist, I had high hopes for this but it was just OK, not much of a mystery!

Kill Bill this was what everyone was talking about? thank god the second one was better!

The first fifteen minutes of Scream really freaked me out. After that...couldn't watch it! It was so scary!
