I'm approaching 45 years old and need a new exercise regime which hopefully I can learn and encompass with self defense. I need to be more flexibility and I need conditioning since I have back pain and recently I have been dealing with a pinched nerve in my neck....so I need to stretch! I haven't found very much good information comparing the various types of martial arts, though I thought Tae Kwon-Do might be an option. Does anyone have suggestions? I live in Phoenix, AZ and have yet to find a reputable school that takes martial arts seriously (many of them seem to be a daycare center for bored kids). Can anyone suggest a martial art form for me and maybe a school (if you know Phoenix)? Thanks!
