So I know very little about car sound systems. One thing I know for sure though, is that the stock one in my 2001 civic Lx really, really sucks.

I'm taking a long road trip with my buddy, and I want to have a decent system to carry us along our 14 hour drive.

I want a system that:

1. doesn't include a sub.
2. sounds as good as a high end factory system you'd find in a new car.
3. doesn't cost more than 350 bucks max.

So here is what I had in mind, tell me if I should change something:

1. http://www.bestbuy.com/site/olspage.jsp?skuId=8699303&type=product&id=1199494692558

Alpine head unit - 45 watts peak power (16 watts RMS)

2. A component system

So this is the plan:

Put the head unit in , and place the tweeters infront of the door handles on each front door, and place the component woofers in each front door panel.

But what do I do with the back speakers? Do i buy 2 component sets, and place a set in the back and a set in the front?

I just want a lower budget, great sounding system without an amp, or a sub in the back.

give me some guidance, please!
