I want to buy 2 12" kicker or rockford fosgate subs but I dont know what kind of amp I should get.
I want it to slam pretty good, but not extremely loud where i cant hear the music.

I had 2 12in kicker CVR and a 1200 watt Nitro amp. That worked good for my 2003 silverado LS. That got stolen so I got 2 10in kicker CVR and the same amp. Thing is that Im married and my wife hates loud music so I only bump it when she’s not in the truck. It all depends what you drive. I have my 10s under the back bench with a down fire box. Also check the settings on your unit that helps a lot. If you get it installed by someone get with him to help you get the right sound out of it before you go because if u don’t know what you doing you will be playing with it for hours. I personally think that 10sare good enough, unless you wanna bother the person next to you at a stop light or just wanna feel you music and hear it at the same time. But it also depends what you drive and where your equipment will go and the enclosure you got . Most of the time you will get what you pay for but do your retrench on line. Also look into insulating like DYNAMAT or HUSHMAT. That stuff works good. It gets rid of rattle and if you do it right you cant hear much from the outside if u roll up your windows and it improves the sound inside. 2 10in Kicker CVR, 1200 watt Nitro amp, and down fire box for an 03 silverado LS extended cab cost me under $320 at a Houston flea market. All new and in the boxes and with no install. I guess it was a good deal
