JL Audio ZR650-Csi speakers, JL Audio 450/4v2 4 channel amp, JL Audio 1000/1v2 x2 d class 1000wt amp, JL Audio 12w7 x2, JL Audio CL441dsp Equalizer, 6 farad cap, 2 conductor on speaker wire, 1 awg power wire rated for 2800 watts Kinetik HC2400 carbattery (128 ah, 2600 amps) and dynomatt my car like crazy MY MAIN QUESTION IS HOW MUCH AMPERE MUST MY ALTERNATOR BE TO GET 100% OUT OF THIS SYSTEM?
i have a stock battery in the front my alternator is currently stock my kinetic battery is isolated to the trunk specs on it are above in total it is 2x 1000wt class d amp and 1x 450 wt 4 channel i already have the 6 farad cap cause it is up to 3000 wts and i'm just wondering now what ampere i need my alternator to be to run this all smoothly

you dont rally need farad cap they suck get a kinetik hc 800 for the back 10x mor power than the 6 farad. every farad is 1000 watts so u must be pushing at lease 6000 watts if im correct and it depend on what your vehical take far as alternators i have a trailblazer with a stock1 50 amp alternator i upgraded it to a 200 amp alt with the big three up grade and i got a kinetik hc 2000 in the back and a 1800 in the front so there you go. but if you want to get the best out your system get the biggest alternator you can for your vehical every 70 amps=1000 watts!

Add up the current draw of all amps. Find out what size alternator you have now and figure 40% of it to run the vehicle.

Add those two numbers for the size alternator you need.

Here is a guide that will calculate what size alternator and power wires you need http://www.box.net/shared/uchv4dbk88

You will need Microsoft Excel. If you don't have Excel, use this link http://www.box.net/shared/nkkw1dhk4g
