What is your educated guess on where YOU think the course of rock music is going to go?

I personally, it is going to go more into Alternative Dance.

I just heard what I think is the best album of the 2000s, It's Blitz by The Yeah Yeah Yeahs, and I thought to myself..What if this was the precursor? What if this album was like the next "Velvet Underground & Nico"? being inspirational for decades and decades on.

I thought, with the growing influence of technology on music, for better (see: Kid A by Radiohead) or for worse (see Dark Horse by Nickelback). There are bound to be some Magnum opus(es?) to be released at some time. Correct?
This is all I got so far, but I want to hear your opinions.

BQ: Have you ever thought of dropping-out of high school?
BQ2: Have you moved out of the house your lived in your childhood?
BQ3: How far do you live from your parents?
 
I think it is going the way of Nickelback...but that doesn't stop there being awesome bands that are not as well known & think there always will be :)

BA- I live in England but college..yeah!
BA2- Nopeeee but I'm still in college XD
 
I think there will be more Dragonforce esque bands.

BQ: I thought about it, yes. For personal reasons though, not because I didn't like school or anything.
BQ2: Yep
BQ3: 50 miles or so.. Not far enough lol
