What is the size of your physical and digital music collection?

What would that achievement be?

I'm pretty netural to the issue. I buy a lot of music and download a lot. I'm not sure why either one counts as an "achievement."

Don't have the money or HD space to backup? Easiest solution is DVD'S. You can get approx 35-40 albums on one disc in mp3/wma etc format. burn it onto a disc and then just shove it in a cupboard. Still back up and carry on as usual but you know there is always a good back up ready. Never lose music again.

i think duration is more revealing.

foobar says it would take 8 weeks, 2 days, 7 hours, 12 minutes, and 44.105 seconRAB to listen to my entire collection.

not including the 100gb of music i've not yet tagged...

naturally i have a lot of music i've never listened to. but i figure it's best to amass an impressive collection now, before things change and it becomes harder to obtain free music :)

Goodness, I was pissed off when I had to start over on a new computer. But still had all the old stuff on my old computer. That must be soul destroying trying to remeraber all the good stuff :(

I've exactly 42.8 Gigs of music currently. That puts me in the range of 13,000 songs or so. I used to have more before my last computer went out. Soon i'd like to buy a couple of 1TB hard drives and see if I can fill them. Unlike some, I usually keep music I don't like that much simply for archival purposes.

My physical collection is too small to bother with.
