to start my own practice? Don't get me wrong, money definitely isn't the only reason I want to be a surgeon or physician, if I was after money I would most likely go into business. I think I would love working in the medical field because it interests me ... I'm currently volunteering at the hospital but I just thought I should clarify that so nobody gets offended.
Back to the question ... I've heard that surgeons can make up to $5000 per surgery, and that they can do a couple of surgeries a day? That's what one of the authors in my business book said and I wasn't too sure about that so I'm wondering:
Is it possible for good surgeons to make $1MILL + a year? What about physicians? Could I make money like this owning my own practice or would it be a good idea to own my own practice?
This is all assuming I still want to go into medicine (which I most likely will) by the time I get there but I'm just planning ahead.
