I am in NYC, and using a unique flat dish equivalent to a standard 18" dish. Its signal strength is generally slightly lower than one would get from a standard 18" dish but comparable. I only have signal strength on 2 transponders, though-- 2 and 3. I am getting about 50 signal strength on transponder 2, and a whopping 80 on transponder 3. They are both considerably stronger than I was getting before (in fact, I couldn't lock on to transponder 2 till the change to N4). BUT, I am currently not getting any signal on any other transponders which was not the case before the change. I am assuming I need to re-align my dish. Perhaps Bell placed 82 where it would be strongest for people using Bell's version of the Dish 500 dish (one dish-2 orbital slot setup) as opposed to those using 2 separate dishes, and that's why I have lost signal on the other transponders. That is my assumption, though.
