What is the best movie soundtrack? #2 DISCUSSION (no lists)

Sorry to say they didn't. But I'll get to that in a second.

Ok, I love soundtracks. But right now, my favorites are Donnie Darko (always and forever), CAMP, and The Girl Next Door.

Now, to my former statement. When I was watching TGND, I couldn't help but notice all of the great music. The movie starts off with a classic: David Bowie/Queen's "Under Pressure". There are many others that make me think of the film, songs that I can pinpoint where they were played. Songs like David Gray's "This Year's Love", Elliott Smith's "Angeles", N.E.R.D.'s "Lapdance", Groove Armada's "Purple Haze", The Verve's "Lucky Man" and The Who's "Baba O'Riley"...to name a few. And every song I just mentioned...not on the soundtrack being put out. And there are others that are being left out. Needless to say, I'm really disappointed. Every song that reminds me of the movie right now is not on the soundtrack. A couple did make it, like Echo and the Bunnymen's "The Killing Moon" and...well, let's just leave it at that.

 i completely agree. they put their heart and soul into that soundtrack and movie

I could go on and on but there would be a long list and I dont think people will like that every much  Im going to add for Disney movie soundtracks: Little Mermaid, and The Lion King, :D

I am listening to The Prince of Egypt right now. And I liked S. N. Fever, Shakespear in Love, D.Dancing, Wedding Singer , Purple Rain , Blade, Titanic, and so many good ones I am sure I have in my collection and not heard recently.

I absolutely love the soundtrack to Empire Records...not the album, but the actual soundtrack on the film.

Coyote Ugly and Dirty Dancing also have really cool soundtracks!

I love the "Singles" soundtrack. It fitted in perfectly with the whole Seattle vibe that was going on in the movie.

Donnie Darko, both score and soundtrack.
The Virgin Suicides score (all written by the band Air, amazing atmospheric music).
Lost in Translation, featuring another track by Air

and some other awesome songs.
Run Lola Run, best techno soundtrack ever.

And many many more.
