Lets me see here? What did the Scottish, Germans and Hungarians accomplish?
Beer, Whiskey, Goulash, Haggis, Sausage, Kilts, Leiderhosen.
Seems like my ancestors liked to get drunk, eat meat dishes and wear funny clothes. Sounds like fun!
Seriously, there's a lot. First of all, the resistance to tyranny. The Scots fought the British in the Dark Ages and the Germans and Hungarians resisted the communists in the Cold War. Scots-Irish immigrants have often made up many of the fights against big government in the US. I would also have to say determination bordering on stubbornness and a keen mind for detail and ingenuity.
However, I'd have to say I am more proud of my American culture than I am of my European roots. We Americans established the first real Democracy. We have been blessed with some of the most fertile land and most abundant resources. Americans are clever and known for their ingenuity. Americans are determined and driven. We have made the world what it is today, for better or for worse, but we have made our collective mark on history. We have accomplished things it has taken other countries almost 1000 years to do. In a little over 200 years, we have become the world power in almost everything and the most influential country on the planet.
PS: I must add that there are some really hot German women and women of Germanic genes. Exhibit A: Heidi Klum. An added plus is that American women (regardless of race) tend to be much better looking that women of other countries. That is a great plus to be an American man.
