What is difference in @2 OHMS and @4 OHMS, when dealing with RMS power in amps?

I am trying to find an amp with 1200 rms power to go along with two 12" subs with 600 rms power each. The rms rating is confusing bc it says 380@2 0hms. Does that mean 760 total rms power? What does it need to say to be 1200 rms total? 600@2Ohms?
