i have a sealed box for 2 12 kicker l7 should i get a ported box i have them in the trunk of a honda accord can the seal box explode or what can happen with a sealed box and also what gives you better bass ported or sealed

both boxes are good choices .make sure you dynamat the trunk to get rid of all that rattling thats gonna happen ..

my lil brother has 2 L7 in his nissan sentra type r and he has a sealed box i designed and his interior is falling down around him (literally) his map lights wont stay up and i was riding with him and my eyes couldnt focus because of the bass. all that from 2 subs and a kicker 750 watt amp. the only thing with a ported box is they take up so much more space for those subs

you will probably be able to hear more with a ported box if the subs are in the trunk,
but it depends on what kind of sound you want
both sealed and ported will give you nice bass,
but sealed will give you a tighter, harder sound
better for rock
ported will produce a longer, booming sound
good for rap

Accord will probably have space issues, so I recommend sealed. Plus, you already have it. Less time and money to keep what you have and it is going to sound great as long as you feed them 12's plenty of the Watts they deserve.
