what is a good drinking white wine that is also good for cooking?

Chablis is good table wine that is commonly used for cooking also. There is a Chablis for every price point, too, so take your pick at your local wine shop.

I've been using those little bottles of Bella Sera pinot grigio for cooking, like for risotto. I've tasted it, it's very drinkable. And the best part is that you don't have to open a whole bottle just to get 1 cup. I don't use chardonnay since lately it's too 'buttery' in taste. I need crisp and clean tastes for a white. And I agree, chablis would work just as well.

I like white zin cause it is sweeter that sherry, or Chardonnay is what most bars and restaurants use.
