What is a good car audio system for me and pricing?

I don't know anything about car audio whatsoever. I really need to get new speakers though because I recently blew out my factory speakers. I drive a 2008 Yaris Sedan so I don't want to go too overboard with the sound for such a small car. What should I be looking for when I am going to buy a sound system, where is a good place to buy it from, and what should I be prepared to pay?
 
as far as what you will pay, that is entirely up to you and your preferences. if you are wanting to stay cheap then try Crutchfield.com.
they have all the equipment and service you need as well as many special buys like some buy one get one types of deals. they also have a scratch and dent section at discounted prices. i have bought several things from this section as well as the website and have had zero problems with them. in addition they will send you the manuals for your car as well as the harnesses you will need to change speakers out. as for personal preference i have installed many different systems and i would personally recomend Memphis speakers, they sometimes cost a little more but they offer excellent sound and great durability through all ranges from high to low notes.
