what is '6x9' speakers & also whats 'Mid' as in Bass, Treble, mid?

i bought this car and apparently its said that it has 6x9 speakers or something, and i have no idea what that means (ya im not hi tech lol) and also what does the 'Mid' do???? i kinda know whats bass n treble, but no idea about Mid lol!! so, thanks :)
 
6x9 inch speaker! instead of a say 6 1/2 inch round one!!

Bass is low frequency like a bass guitar!
Mid is like drum sounds
Treble is the high frequency out of the tweeters!

Say in a drum beat, the drum sound is mid and the Tiss is high from the tweeter!! like boom tiss boom boom tiss

Trebel are the high frequency sounds EX: a scream
Mids are the midrange frequency sounds EX: Talking
Bass are the low frequency sounds EX: BOOOOOM
