Agreed, and you likely won't hear about it again, particularly from Nokia. I mean, for developers, what would be the point?
The idea was to develop applications for a potential Symbian market for U.S. users. Now that that's out the window, it'd be like having a contest on who could develop the best Commodore applications.
I'm assuming any developers who thought to take part, are in the process of pulling out.
And Nokia is lucky that Microsoft will be handling all developer relations in the future, because Espoo has poisoned its own relations with developers for a long, long time, possibly terminally.
After so many strategy changes year after year, why would they ever trust the company again, particularly after the whole 'Qt, rah-rah-rah' that is now a debacle?
