What Gundams have you seen?

Just finished up Zeta Gundam, which to me, has been a long and prolonged task to finish since the summer of 2002. I feel very refreshed and the felling of accomplishment.

All in all, its worth whatever praise it gets. Its a downright great series, and has Tomino's favorite thing (maybe still is), killing off main characters.

But, just a thought, has anyone seen every major gundam series out there?

I guess this is going to be another "Fav gundam series/talkback" thread. Well, i dont care either way, shoot and fire away...

I'm a relative newb when it comes to Gundam, only having seen G, SEED, half of Destiny, and what's aired so far of 00.

G was straight fun that I really enjoyed. It was my first exposure to anything Gundam on Toonami back in the day. Not one of my favorite series, but one I would rewatch in a heartbeat because it was so entertaining. Good times.

Next came SEED, also on Toonami and then later when it moved to the death slot. Despite the infamous edits, I enjoyed it a lot and have since picked up the Anime LegenRAB sets though I'm still working my way through them (I'm lazy). Looking back, I have a lot more appreciation for Athrun now than I initially realized.
/Cue everyone saying, "You would be an Athrun fan."
*cough* Anyway, I started watching Destiny once the DVRAB were released but still am only halfway through. The overly negative opinion about the ending just makes me that much more curious about it

I've been following 00 since it started airing is easily one of my top series right now. I'm a lot more into the grittier, darker stuff and 00 has a lot of those dramatic aspects that I love in a series. While I'm not as into Gundam as a lot of people, I find 00 endlessly fascinating and am looking forward to seeing where the second season finishes up. Plus, you know, I

Okay so like none of the UC, I just know about it but I have yet to see it.

This is a blemish for me as an anime fan but suprisingly, I have actually never completely finished a Gundam series (I know right?) except for SEED. There are several reasons why

-G:You know, I keep meaning to watch the episodes that I missed on Toonami and I have most of them on tape too. But I've been trying to find a DVD collection for just about ever.
-Wing:I never got to see this on Toonami because by the time I got cable, the show had finished its run and was showing G Gundam. So now that I get a chance to watch it again, for some reason, I never saw past episode 40. I need to finish that
-X:...Yeah, no excuse for this one, I just need to find time to finish it. Which may be suprising because I keep telling everybody "Hey, watch X, Watch it NOW!"
-Turn A: Currently watching, hope I get through this one cause I am really liking it.
-SEED: Finished, got my two collectors sets and even though there was way too much stock footage found it quite enjoyable. (Though the whole Cagalli being Kira's you-know-what still just makes me squickish)
-DESTINY: Okay, I literally got up and decided to not finish this series. I was on episode 40 or so (maybe even less)and I just said, "You know what, this is just too ridiculous and boring. Now I see what everyone on TZ was talking about." So, I returned the disc to Netflix and personally decided to not watch it and I just read the ending on Random Curiosity and Wikipedia. I don't know what was so bad about it, it was just so...off. Maybe I'll finish it later but for now, just no.
-00: Watching in both languages.

EDIT:

Yeah, I had a feeling you would be

(oh I'm sorry I seem to have put the wrong user name down. I'll change that when I decide to finish Destiny )

Zeta for me started in 02 from what i could find online and certain people, then i preordered the DVRAB when they came out 3 years ago, then i got vol 3 and 4 really cheap 2 years ago at best buy. Since then, ive been wanting to find a very cheap copy of Vol 5, but its like no one had it. So i asked for the DVD for christmas, and thats my gift.

Its a series ive really put off when DVRAB came out, either i didnt have the money to get them or i just plainly put them off.

Zeta really does end on a cliff hanger, which is why when it first aired, the next week Double Zeta aired a week later, which tied in alot of things.

I really hope Bandai pickes up Double Zeta sometime soon. They might as well put that in boxsets, just a thought...

Maybe 10 episodes collectively of the original Mobile Suit Gundam series, Gundam Seed, and Wing.

Mostly Gundam Seed, and yes I know I'm sad.

I would like to get into the franchise, but have had no time for it. When I do it will be for 00.

0079
0080
0083
Wing
G Gundam
00
SEED
SEED Destiny
20 episodes of Zeta
14 episodes of Turn A

I cannot get through anymore of Zeta thanks to the series completely turning its focus on Amuro over the last 6 episodes. I have always hated him, and bringing him back ruined the feel of the series. Plus it is taking way too long to put into gear the full plot of the series.

However, nothing has ever come close to even meeting the expectations Wing made in a Gundam series, especially when it comes to music. Otani's score is untouchable in the Gundam universe, as every track is memorable whereas I can only remeraber a few tracks from Turn A, and that is because it is Kanno's score.

I've seen every Gundam show and "movie" that's been broadcast on U.S. television, with the exception of the original which I had stopped watching just one day before Cartoon Network stopped airing it.

And yes, I saw SD Gundam too, but I thought it was cute personally. I actually went back to rewatch Gundam Wing earlier this year, but I couldn't bring myself to watch the final episodes. I think the only reason why I thought it was great was because it was my first Gundam series, but I've enjoyed several other series more since then, including 08th MS Team and G Gundam. And after a slow start, I've finally become hooked on Gundam 00...

Uhh... probably two or three episodes of Wing, and the first half of SEED (before it was yanked from Toonami).

...yeah. I've been meaning to watch 00 and pick up some of the older ones, but, you know, not enough time in a day.

No 08th MS Team?

Shenanigans, I say.

I've seen most of the Gundam series out there, but the only ones I rewatch are Wing, original MSG, and 08th MS Team.

I plan on doing so with 00 once it gets a stateside Blu-Ray release. S*$t be bangin'.

You should give Zeta a try again. Amuro is only in a few episodes tops. They meet up with Amuro on earth, then on Kilimanjaro, then Dakar, and thats it. Thats like 7 or 8 episode tops, the rest is in space, away from Amuro. So basicly, roughly 1/5 of Zeta has Amuro in it.

I do like the music in Wing, but only a few songs really stand out to me. There all good, dont get me wrong, but a good portion of them i really like, the rest are great, but not my favs. Well, thats really any BGM for you. I tend to like some of the other BGM from Victory, Zeta and Double Zeta more so than Wing in certain areas.

I have seen Gundam X, but like half of it long ago, thats another series i need to rewatch again. Turn A, i dont know when ill get to it. Saw roughly half of Seed, and i dont care worth a &@#% to see Destiny, episode one was good enough for me.

Gundam 00 hasnt been bad so far, its mediocure at best, but ill still watch it...

Yes, quite shananigirific.

I think I've most enjoyed the Gundam OVAs. 8th ms and War in the Pocket. When they're good, Gundams are awesome, but when they're not, they tend to get needlessly long winded and metaphysical about invented politics. Don't get me wrong, I don't dislike the political side of Gundam... But entire recap episodes devoted solely to the explination of those politics are so grating to watch... The OVAs don't have the time to indulge in that wanktastic exposition however, and are much better for it.

Lesse...

G Gundam- I've seen quite a lot of scattered episodes, including the finale, but I've never seen it in a full straight run. Most of them in english, a scant few in japanese.

Wing- In Fall of last year, I saw Wing for the first time, and I saw every episode marathon style (in japanese). It wasn't that good...sorry Wing fans.

SEED- Every episode, both languages.

Destiny- Same here.

00- Currently caught up with all the available episodes in both languages.

Geass- Not Gundam.

Wing (+Endless Waltz) - Thought the series was fun, though I haven't seen it since toonami so my memory's pretty sketchy on it.

G Gundam - Loved this series, though I've been meaning to try to catch the scant few I missed.

Destiny - Only seen up till 24, but I'm not sure if I want to finish it or not.

00 - Current in both languages.

I've seen Moblie Suit Gundam, G Gundam, Gundam Seed, 8th MS Team, and Gundam Wing. Gundam Wing is the first Gundam series I've watch which got me into the Gundam franchise and it's still my favorite Gundam series. I've also seen the SD Gundam series which I thought was very cute.

I've seen every series with an English release and I'm pretty content with that, although I would like to make it through Turn A at some point.

It occurs to me that I haven't seen F91 since I first bought it. I'll have to fix that.
