What "goofs" did you notice in TDK?

I noticed several things the second time around, and none are on IMDB.

In the Lamborghini scene, both the diesel truck and Bruce's are wet because it had been raining. There was no rain in the movie, and nothing else (including the people who were outdoors in the scene) were wet.

When Batman is going to turn himself in and Alfred is burning his stuff.... the first shot shows no fire just hot coals. The second shot (about 4 seconds later) shows a roaring inferno in the furnace.

The Hong Kong police use revolvers?

In one scene Batman shoots his grappling hook, then 2 second later it cuts to him being pulled up from his waist by it

These aren't goofs. It's a fucking movie.

Probably a leaking pipe or whatever...who cares. I didn't even notice.

All furnaces expel gas for a few seconds before lighting. This is common sense.

Like a broiler, when you open it the inside is still hot but the flames are shut off for safety reasons.

Yes they do.

it's not really a goof, but after Joker dropped Rachel Dawes out of the window and batman saved her, what exactly did he do? Did the Joker stay and enjoy the party and leave? I mean, Harvey Dent was locked up in a closet with a bar through it. That would have seemed suspicious.

What "goofs" did you notice in TDK?

this is completely what i found personally

* Continuity: At various times throughout the movie, Gotham City Police Department is abbreviated as both GCPD and GPD on squad cars, uniforms, etc.

* Revealing mistakes: An Illinois license plate is clearly visibly on Bruce Wayne's Lamborghini, even though they are in the fictional Gotham City.

* Factual errors: Bruce Wayne reconstructs the bullet to find a finger print of the finger that was used to insert the bullet into the clip. However, this is not possible because the bullet is covered by the shell when loaded into a clip.

* Factual errors: When Harvey Dent hangs up on Gordon after telling him about his family, the phone makes the distance 'hang up' dial tone. Cell phones do not have these, nor do land lines make such dial tones that quickly after a terminated call.

* Continuity: The cooling ducts on the side of Bruce Wayne's Lamborghini Murci?lago are closed at the beginning of the scene and are open immediately following a cut. They are motorized but take time to open and close.

* Continuity: In one of the first scenes with Det. Ramirez, you see her holding a cup of coffee. In between takes she switches between holding the cup with two hands, then only one hand and finally with two hands again. The cuts in the scene are immediate and linear, so she could not have changed how she holds the cup in between cuts.

# Continuity: SPOILER: Two-Face cocks his gun twice in the warehouse with Gordon and his family. Once when he first threatens him then again when he puts the gun to Gordon's wife.

# Continuity: SPOILER: When Two-Face is threatening to kill Gordon's son, he uses his left hand to flip the coin. Between flips, in a close up of the kids face, Two-Face is stroking the boy's hair with his left hand, no coin in sight.

Stev1ous, I noticed most of those too.

I know everyone thought this movie was the cat's meow, but I fell asleep midway through. I might have missed about 20-30 minutes when my girl poked me awake and I caught the rest. Talk about ruining a good nap.

It's all just word play but...

* Factual error 1: it's a magazine, not a clip.

This is a clip, BTW:

* Factual error 2: you mean jacket instead of shell. The shell is the brass part that contains the primer & the propellant. The jacket is the (usually) copper sheathing over the lead bullet.

Cut away view of a 9mm cartridge:

Not busting balls, just thought a quick EDU would be nice

WTF? How could you sleep through how loud it was? Maybe it was just my theater, but this was a damn loud movie, especially since there's almost constant action.
