What films do you think should've been left alone without sequels?

As title says, which films shouldn't have had a second, third etc. film after the first, and just be left alone as it is?

My only one from recent memory is The Prince & Me 2. and 3. and now they are making a fourth. The last 3 where all straight-to-DVD and are dreadful, replacing original cast members like Julia Stiles and subpar plots have ruined this story for me.

So true. The first is a pretty good 80's comedy. The scedon and third are just about watchable. After that they became simply wretched.

So bad in fact, that even Steve Guttenberg decided enough was enough.

And now Steve Guttenberg is supposedly coming back for the relaunch/reimagining of the series.

The people at New Line said they are hoping to keep the theme tune. I'm not sure about the film(s), but that is good news as that is a cracking tune. :)

Pirates of the carribean
I absolutley hate the second and third with a passion

Save the last dance 2 - Ok to be fair i haven't seen it but why do a sequel and not have the original cast. Julia stiles and her character's boyfriend are still in the movie but played by different actors.

Home Alone - They should have left it after number 2, not carry on with a different Kevin.

I agree! The third one is just somethin else and the fourth one no-one should even bother. Without Culkin it's a waste of time.

High school musical 3. It's awful. I never apart of the whole craze. But i found it awful. Unoriginal plot, i mean we have seen a thousand times on teen shows and movie of a bunch of 18 year olRAB getting ready to graduate. The songs were forgettable as well.

The second one is alright but uneeded. When the first movie is so huge, people get ego's and have to make a sequel to get even more money. If i was a filmaker, i would never do a sequel. Only horror movies can really get away with sequels

Star Wars (prequels) - The original were excellent but the prequels just didn't stand a chance with peoples expectations and GLs CGI obsession.

Lethal Weapon 4 - I liked one and two I could live with number three but four was just a platform for Chris Rock stand up.

Speed 2 - This is just terrible the first one not brilliant but the concept was good and the Keanu / Sandra rapport was good.

Ocean's Twelve - Whenever Catherine Zeta Jones is introduced into a film that is the end of that movie for me - she isn't a good actress and ruins it in my opinion

Bad Boys 2 - This one just seemed to try and do all the adrenaline fuel sequences over and over and throw in some jokes and catchphrases. It had all the actors with none of the charm.

Final Destination 2 3 4 - Number 1 stood as a good teen horror with death chasing and designing the escapees death with a nice twisted humour. The others just got worse and worse (I did like the interactive of three mainly because if you get the correct coin toss you can end the film 3 minutes in)

Scream 2 3 - Again Number 1 worked as a nice stand alone teen horror, they just got silly with the others making the murders more elaborate and the killers motives more and more implausible.
